Your first visit is a 60 minutes comprehensive intake. This is an opportunity for us to learn all about your past medical history, current concerns, and goals. Initial consultations can be virtual or in person. Your physiotherapist will help you decide appropriate next steps that could include performing a detailed physical examination of the area of concern and your body as a whole. This may include posture assessment, gait analysis, range of motion testing, strength testing, or any other tools that may help the physiotherapist in differentially diagnosing your condition. Assessment techniques will vary depending on your condition or injury. Your physiotherapist will then work with you to determine a treatment plan that feels good for you. Treatments include a diversity of options including education, lifestyle modifications, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, supportive devices and electromodalities as appropriate.
Each follow-up visit, will consist of a quick check in, assessment and treatment to continue to help you toward achieving your optimal health. Follow-up visits are usually 30-minutes in length, but can be 45 or 60 minutes depending on your treatment needs.
